December 31st 2007 Lite the Fire launched the "Torch", non-stop prayer initiative uniting the state of Arizona to pray. Each Friday night the "Torch" of prayer is passed from one location to another and continues to cover the State of Arizona in non-stop worship and prayer.

In January, 2009 Dutch Sheets declared, "God is saying to Arizona because you have chosen to follow me we are a covenant root state of this nation, we are one of them, we are one of the key states. This state will lead the nation in the new. Arizona He is sending His flaming torch to your sacrifice. God is coming to renew covenant with Arizona. The "Torch" is a prophetic picture that God is coming to renew covenant with Arizona."  

It is amazing to think that the Torch is now entering its 5th year of non-stop prayer in Arizona! 2012 is a very strategic year for arizona as we celebrate 100 years of Statehood. Please consider hosting a week of non-stop prayer at your church, school, ministry or business.
