Week 19 - Global Day of Prayer, Tucson

Week 20 - Christ's Church of the Valley
Spending time time with God this week has been truly amazing. People who don't know each other came together in prayer, reading scripture, worshipping, crying and laughing. Through the use of the journal we had a unique connectedness that would be difficult to explain on a human level.

We knew as we prayed that we had entered into heavenly places. More than once this week we'd stop and look around us and say "something is happening, we don't know what, but something is happening".

We know that God heard our prayers and is working on them right now, this very minute. - Lorie Grogg, Coordinator

Week 21 - Flagstaff Community Christian School
At the conclusion of the week of prayer (the Friday of Memorial Day weekend), we received almost a foot of snow in Flagstaff and set a record low temperature. Interestingly, earlier in the week we had set a record high temperature. In the same week, there was a record for the low and the high temperature. I heard the Spirit say, "I would rather that you were hot or cold!" The time for complacency is now gone. We will have to choose. - Eric Garland, Coordinator

Week 22 - Vineyard Church of the North Valley

Our week of prayer at Vineyard was an undisputed work of God. With only a little over 2 weeks to prepare we faced the task of finding space, setting up the interior, getting the word out, and having people make personal sacrifices on short notice. The beauty is that when the Lord goes before you all things work according to His purpose. The church staff put many of their regular duties on hold, several ministries sacrificed resources they had claim to, and leaders of all sorts rose to the occasion at the prodding of the Lord.

The week began with an unseasonable torrent of rain accompanied by refreshingly cold winds. We believe this to have been a sign in the natural of the Lord's presence upon this week of prayer. The weather was unseasonably chilly in early summer with nights in the 50s and day temperatures 20+ degrees below normal.

We faced our hiccups and issues as many have but there is no denying the power of the Lord upon this week. Many leaders were caught up in the anointing on the room and lost track of time. People were physically struck by the presence of the Lord upon entering. Some leaders wept as the consecrated 24/7 prayer room was leaving us. One leader referred to his time in the prayer room as one of the greatest spiritual experiences of his life; high praise from a man who has known the Lord for decades. Seek the Lord and all this will be added unto you. - Sean Flanigan, Coordinator

Week 23 - Turning Leaf Community Church at Banner Estrella Medical Center
This was a particulary special week as AZPray went into the marketplace. Turning Leaf Community Church meets at a school and does not have its own facilities, so they took prayer to Banner Estrella Medical Center in its Meditation Chapel and Healing Garden. AZPray was well received by the staff. At a debreifing meeting at the end of the week senior chaplain, Jerrye Champion said, "Everytime I am in the prayer chapel, I feel God's Presence; but this week, God's presence was more pronounced."
